The Furniture Mall is a mall that leases its space to furniture, bedding and home furnishing stores. It has moved to Jurong East from its previous location at Beach Road. Having moved to a new compound of 87,000 square feet, it now houses 38 stores and the variety of stores seems to be large.

Many Types Of Furniture

For example, Unikhome manufactures and sells wooden furniture ranging from bed frames, to dining table set, to wardrobes, etc. Most of its furniture is made out of mahogany wood, which is a high quality, reddish brown hardwood. Another example is Eco Links which state that they are selling “modern country furniture”. Their furniture range is mostly modern, their items exhibit a touch of rustic style in modern upholstery. One noteworthy furniture is their vintage, high-back armchair upholstered in modern print fabric.

Brasswood is another shop in the mall, and they sell classical handcrafted furniture in Himalaya rosewood. You can find a variety of polished wooden queen size bed frames as well as chairs and cabinets in their shop. They can also customize and manufacture furniture for customers.

Mattresses, Homewares, And Textiles

On it’s website, The Furniture Mall proclaims that it is “Singapore largest mattress collection center.” That seems to be true as there are over 21 brands of mattress available. For example, Hillman Interior Decoration retails King Koil mattresses and duvet of different size and degree of firmness. There are also other big brands like Sealy and Englander. If you are looking for waterbeds, consider visiting Fantasy Waterbed. They are retailing brands like Comfortable and Everest.

In addition to furniture stores, you’ll also find stores selling homewares and textile. For example, Tame Laundry System sells retractable clothes hanger, a functional system that has gain popularity in the local market recently. Gabbeh Carpet retails carpets, more specifically handmade Persian carpets.

Shop Directory and Promotions

The Furniture Mall’s website has a complete listing of all the stores in the mall, it’s quite useful as you can view the store’s profile and contact details. There are also photographs of the storefonts, so you can identify the shop when you visit The Furniture Mall in person. In addition to the store listings, you’ll also find a weekly promotion section on their website, it features product deals for selected stores. For example, there are promotions for mattresses – Lotus queen size spring mattress, which is going for $1000, and sofas – Univonna full leather sofas at 30% off.

Shoppers who are worried that the items on offer might be faulty, or not what they expect in some way or another, will be reassured by the fact that The Furniture Mall has a ‘Quality Service Scheme’, which guarantees you’ll receive good quality service. In other words, if you feel that a shop has made a dishonest sale with you, you can file a dispute against them.

Eating and Travelling

The Furniture Mall is a one-level compound, it is quite convenient for family with babies to shop as it is easy to push strollers around the mall. Be sure not to go shopping with an empty stomach as there is no food stall in the mall. You may wish to visit IMM Shopping Centre, which is diagonally opposite the mall, for your meal. You may also like to start your shopping trip early so you will have sufficient time to shop around the mall.

The Furniture Mall is easily accessible by public transport. There are many bus services that can reach the mall, alternatively, you can alight at Jurong East MRT Station and take a 5 minutes’ walk. If you are driving, you can park in the mall’s car park for 2 hours free (if you make any purchase). The Furniture Mall is open every day from 11am to 9pm. Visit their website.
